We are Donna and Phoenix , the founders of The Elderwood Project.
What started as a simple idea to rescue unwanted wood has grown into a project we are incredibly passionate about. We collect timber that would otherwise be thrown away such as pallets, fallen trees, scaffold boards, and surplus wood, and give it a second life through woodworking and creative projects.
Alongside our day jobs, we spend our time collecting reclaimed timber, building projects in the workshop, and slowly developing The Elderwood Project into something bigger. Our long-term goal is to create a community woodworking space where people can learn practical skills, work with reclaimed materials, and take part in creative projects.
For us it is about more than just wood. It is about saving resources, reducing waste, and creating something meaningful from materials that others might overlook.
Where old wood tells new stories.
